Brighton-based digital agency Bozboz win Campaign’s cover-wrap creative competition – judged by Claire Beale, Jonathan Mildenhall and David Droga

Has Campaign undergone another redesign inspired by the new year? That’s our winning cover wrap designed by Bozboz, a small digital marketing agency based in Brighton. Bozboz beat tough competition to win our inaugural global Cover Hack competition, in partnership with Ai Media Group.

The advertising and creative industries were set a simple brief to ‘create an epic journey’ on the cover wrap of Campaign’s February edition distributed to subscribers in the UK, US and at CES in Las Vegas.

“As a boutique digital agency we’re thrilled to have won Campaign’s first cover hack competition. Acknowledgement of our teamwork and creativity is the ultimate compliment”, said Mike Hollingbury, founder of Bozboz.

Bozboz’s design introduces ‘Cyborg Creep’, a faceless figure that explores the technological saturation of modern life. The creative illustrates “a haunting portrait of our digital selves”, said Campaign US editor and Cover Hack judge I-Hsien Sherwood.

Bozboz’s dark and eerie future-gazing design won plenty of praise from competition judges. Campaign’s global editor Claire Beale described the winning work as “brilliantly provocative”, while Droga5’s founder David Droga rewarded its, “confronting but exceptionally compelling” aesthetic.

Panasonic’s CMO Lauren Sallata explained that the cover was “compelling creative with an easily understood message” and Ai Media Group’s CMO Stephanie Anderson described it as “a profound vision of technology and its unknown impact on life’s journey”.
