Dr. Anthony Bowen

Chief Digital Officer

Dr. Anthony Bowen is the Chief Digital Officer at Ai Media Group. He is responsible for leading digital customer experiences for Advertising & Marketing Technology implementations and sales across all business touch points.

Dr. Bowen has a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) with a concentration in Project Management from Northcentral University. He was in the top 10 of the graduating class and inducted into Delta Mu Delta Honor Society for Business. Additionally, he holds a Project Leadership Certificate from Cornell University, a Project Management certificate from NYU and IT Management from Rutgers. Dr. Bowen is an Advisory Board member for the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM). He holds the MPM, CIPM, and PME certifications in Project Management from AAPM.

Dr. Bowen’s experience revolves around digital media customer experiences for Advertising & Marketing Technology across industry verticals in a global capacity. Most recently, he was the Vice President and Head of Digital across industry verticals at Virtusa’s Digital Engineering Consulting and Solutions practice. In his role at Virtusa, he spearheaded digital marketing automation and digital transformation technology projects for several major accounts.

Before Virtusa, he was Director of Digital Media at Cablevision / Altice (Optimum), responsible for the digital media acquisition and retention sales. He was responsible for the management of external agency partners PHD _OMD Group, Annalect, AiMedia, Facebook, Amazon, and Google. At Cablevision, he oversaw the relationships with Epsilon, Adobe, and Virtusa for digital transformation and implementation of the Adobe Experience Cloud to improve digital marketing and advertising. In his role, he was responsible for driving digital sales leveraging new capabilities, including website personalization, integration of data management, segmentation, and targeting utilizing CRM first and third-party data with Salesforce, mobile marketing, and cross-device targeting for online and offline campaigns. While at Cablevision, he was responsible for leading some digital-first innovative tests used in digital programs today. These programs include Facebook Alpha Test for Custom Audience Enhanced Match, Google Custom Match Beta Test for Paid Search Acquisition, and Retention audience suppression messaging, as well as Twitter Custom Audience Measurement with DBM, and Amazon IP targeting match.

He was one of the pioneers to develop the Hilton Worldwide Global Digital Marketing Program called EDGE. In his role, he developed digital marketing plans, local hotel websites redesign, execution of marketing strategy, and integration of digital media multi-channel strategy and launch. He oversaw and managed the Regional E-commerce business for the Waldorf Astoria New York, Hilton New York, Conrad New York, Embassy Suites and Doubletree Brands generating $200 million in sales and awarded the Hilton Worldwide Circle of Excellence Ecommerce Manager of the Year in 2009.

Dr. Bowen was a Graduate Marketing Professor for Jack Welch Management Institute (JWMI) Executive MBA Program and Southern New Hampshire University – Executive MBA Program. He taught courses in digital marketing and digital project management and search engine marketing. Additionally, he developed the curriculum and taught the PMP Certification for Queens College CUNY School of Professional Studies.
